I am sorry to hear of the loss of Captain Troy and sorry I am away and could not attend his viewing. He was an outstanding officer and a terrific person . He will be missed by many.

Captain Troy was a leader and positive role model that worked in many of the busiest fire stations in the City of Philadelphia . He helped me on many occasions during my career in the PFD. As a new home owner in Flower Mills I will miss the opportunity to reflect on the "good old days" in the "Wild West". Bill Shouldis

He was a wonderful person. I feel very blessed to have known him. He loved his grandkids and they loved him. He will be missed terribly.

my Uncle Bill a true, caring, Loving man, I Love him so much and will truly be missed. He had such a big loving heart, Always made you laugh, and his smile lit up the world, I loved taking you to the beach on Sanibel and watched the dolphins and how cool he thought it was. He never forgot anyone and always took the time to spend with you. I have so many memories to cherish. I Love you and miss you so much.

Very sorry for your loss. I can remember playing at your house when my Mom was visiting with you as a child. He was a really sweet and nice man.

At a time when most of Americans do not know their neighbors' names, I consider myself lucky to have grown up surrounded by such good neighbors I have so many childhood memories which are intertwined with Bill Troy.. I can remember him coming home or even going to work white fireman's shirt, black/ blue pants.. that white hat Always stood up straight, walked with purpose, never complained, always there when you needed him Shoveling snow, outside in the pools As a kid, I never realized what a dangerous job he had All I knew was my neighbor, who was always so kind and friendly
I have met many a Philadelphia firefighter and I am always told Bill was the best of the best
Yesterday Bill appeared on God's roll call God gained another angel. And he is now reunited with Karen in Heaven..
I can only imagine your sorrow and grief of losing your Husband, Dad and grandfather Please know that you are all in my prayers
