William "Bill" Frederick Uthoff Jr., 61, rolled his final strike March 16, 2024, in Mansfield, Texas. Born in St. Louis, Missouri, on Sept. 7, 1962, Bill bowled through life's alleys with grace and gusto.
Bill was a kingpin at Ricoh as a senior manager. He struck many a spare moment enjoying his time with his family, friends and his favorite hobby, bowling. Bill's life was a perfect game of kindness, generosity, and love; and he was a grand-slam grandpa, a devoted husband to Karen Uthoff for 34 remarkable years, and a father who always knew how to pick up the spare when it came to family matters. Bill's hugs were legendary, they'd knock you over like a tenpin, and his smile could light up the darkest of lanes.
Leaving behind a team of loved ones, Bill is cherished by his wife, Karen; sons Michael and Cody; daughter Nicole Jagels and son-in-law Nick Jagels; grandchildren Connor and Keirstyn; sisters Theresa Uthoff and Christine Uthoff, and brother-in-law James Cnockaert; parents-in-law Norman and Betty Kalaskie; and a league of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Preceding him to the great bowling alley in the sky were his mother Colleen Uthoff, father William Uthoff Sr., and a number of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and bowling partners.
The final roll call for Bill will be at Mansfield Funeral Home & Cremations, 1558 Heritage Parkway, where the score of his life will be celebrated. Family and friends can gather for visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 22, and again 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, March 23. The memorial service begins at 11 a.m., where we'll raise a ball in his honor.
For those wishing to make a gesture in memory of Bill, contributions can be sent to Ballard vs Big C - no gutter balls allowed, only strikes and spares in the fight against cancer.
Bill's legacy reminds us to always pick up our spares, laugh through the splits, and aim for a life well-lived. Rest in peace, Bill; you've bowled us over in the best way.
Mansfield Funeral Home & Cremations in Mansfield, Texas, is handling arrangements, ensuring that Bill's send-off is nothing less than a perfect 300.

Bill was a passionate bowler. He always had a kind word, even when he was bowling bad. (Rarely). I enjoyed bowling in leagues and tournaments with him. He once paid me the highest compliment that has stuck with me for decades. He will be truly missed.

Bill was one of the first to welcome me to Texas bowling when I was new here. Always had a smile and hug for me Thursday nights and of course told me I could do better than that when I had a less than stellar game. I will miss him. Thank you Bill for every hug and smile/laugh we shared since 2017. And I promise you I'll always "do better". Rest easy my friend.
