William Van Shively, age 58, was born on August 1, 1967, to Bill and Joyce Shively.

He passed away March 17, 2026.

Bill Van was raised on the family farm near Lebanon, Kansas. He attended Lebanon Grade School and graduated from Smith Center High School, where he excelled in athletics and developed a lifelong love for sports.

In 1989 Bill Van married Amy Smith, and together they were blessed with two children. Family was at the center of Bill Van's life. He cherished time spent with his children and grandchildren, creating lasting memories through simple moments and shared experiences. He also valued time with friends and neighbors, always enjoying good conversation and companionship.

He is survived by his father, Bill Shively; his children, Slyler (Morgan) Shively, Shekinah (Richard) King and his beloved grandchildren, Maylee Shively and Klaysen, Lela, and Cove King. He is also survived by his sisters, Kyle Shively, Kerry Shively, Julie (Steve) Kobialka and Katy Stallings. His nieces Katie Kobialka (Jason Spenser) and Kelly (Lee) Fellhoelter, nephew Matthew (Amanda) Kobialka and great nephews Kimber Kobialka-Spenser and R.J. Fellhoelter and great niece Ryan Kobialka.
