William Noel Vaught, Sr.

 

Mr. William “Bill” Noel Vaught, Sr., 79, of Mount Airy, passed away Friday afternoon December 1, 2023, at Novant Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC.  He was born in Raleigh County, West Virginia on July 27, 1944, to the late Marvin Lee and Mary Adams Vaught.  Mr. Vaught retired from Wachovia Bank in Winston Salem and was a member of The Bridge Church in Flat Rock.  He is survived by his wife, Drema Reed Vaught; daughters and son-in-law, Beverly Vaught, Theresa Williams and Shane; a son, William Vaught, Jr. and Gina; grandchildren, Ashley Leonard, William Jacob Vaught, Johnathan Vaught; great grandchildren, Kyle Leonard, and Kaden Leonard; a brother and sister-in-law, Jim Vaught and Judy; many nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Vaught was preceded in death by sisters, Wanda Eller, and Drema Goddard; a brother, Victor Vaught.  A memorial service will be held Sunday, December 10, 2023, at 2:30 PM at The Bridge Church with the Rev. Don Whichard and the Rev. Jim Vaught officiating.  The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00 until 2:30 PM at the church.  Moody Funeral services in Mt.
