WILLIAM NICHOLAS VENTURA Sr.

VENTURA, William Nicholas Sr. Age 80 of Derry, NH, died on November 15, 2025. Born in Cambridge to William S. and Josephine (Mastrangelo) Ventura. Graduate of Christopher Columbus High School. Joined the Boston Fire Department in 1969, retiring in 1981. Proud member of Local 718. He later worked for Concord Trailways/Boston Express Bus company. Bill was married to Susan, his love and partner in crime from 1976 until her death in 1999. Survived by two sons, William N. Ventura, Jr and his wife, Felicia and Anthony Ventura; four extraordinary grandchildren, Anthony, Isabella, Nicholas and Vincent; as well as dear friends, Joseph and Joan Paulanthony, of Quincy, MA and Maureen James of Greenwood, Delaware, a cousin he loved like a sister. Bill loved his family, and they miss him terribly. Visiting Hours: Calling Hours will be Wednesday, November 19, from 4 - 7pm, in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, DERRY. The Funeral Mass will be Thursday, at 10:00am, in St. Hedwig Parish, 147 Walnut St., Manchester. Burial will follow in St. Hedwig Cemetery, 71 Old Bedford Rd., Bedford, NH.
