William Wachlin Obituary
William "Bill" Wachlin, 72, of Lake Mills, IA, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday October 30, 2024. A memorial service will be held at 2pm on Thursday, November 7, 2024 at the Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home in Albert Lea, MN. A visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Pastor Don Rose will be officiating.
William was born in Hayfield MN on February 24, 1952 to Erwin Reinhold Wachlin and Mattie Elizabeth (Howden) Wachlin. He grew up in the rural Mower and Freeborn County Area. His favorite activities were camping, bonfires, and sitting under his favorite tree enjoying nature and sunsets.
Survivors include his wife, Connie, his sons Shawn Wachlin of Lake Mills IA, Dean Felt of Albert Lea MN and Duane (Lorraine) Felt of Austin MN; brothers, Jim (Rhonda) Wachlin, Biloxi MS, Denny Wachlin, MA; sisters, Linda Spain of Albert Lea, Susan Nava of Albert Lea, and Ruth Ann Wachlin of Albert Lea, as well as many nieces and nephews.
William was proceeded in death by his parents; brothers, William Gregory, John Reinhold, Robert Lewis; sister, Irene Marie Wachlin; and niece, Wendy Wachlin.
