WAINMAN – William "Billy" Wainman, Jr., 57, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 14, 2024 at home. Born June 9, 1966 in Hartford; the son of the late William and Faith (Schramm) Wainman.
Billy worked on the Housatonic Railroad, as a medical cab driver and a traffic control flagger but his longest career was as a machine operator. He was always available when people needed him. Billy was always buckets of fun, ready for anything and the life of every party. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family greatly. He loved fishing, cookouts and leaving hilariously long voicemails for his daughter to find in the morning when she woke up. He especially loved his dog, Nickola (Nikki butt). Everyone had a special relationship with him and he had many nicknames to include; Billy, Big Shooter, Wainman, Billy Baloo and many more.
He is survived by his daughter, Donna Wainman and her companion Laquan Frasier of NY; his daughters half siblings, Rachel and Tyler Seavey; sister, Sandra Freund and husband Edward of Riverton; aunt, Carol Dziedzic of Collinsville; mother of his daughter and friend, Sherril Seavey of Norfolk; close nieces, Crystal, Alicia, Ashlee, Shaylyn; close cousins, Amy and Michael Dziedzic; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Jeffrey Wainman and a sister and her husband, Charlotte and James McBride.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a time to be announced in the future. Montano-Shea Funeral Home, 922 Main Street, Winsted has care of the arrangements. Visit an online guestbook at montano-shea.com.
