William Wallace Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by River Glenn Cremations & Funeral Services on Feb. 6, 2026.
A Life Remembered, A Legacy Cherished

William T. Wallace, age 58, called Mr. Wallace by his wife Robin, but known by most as Bill, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at his home in Hackett, Arkansas.

Bill was born on March 15, 1967, in Torrance, California, to Lonnie and Gloria (Schauwecker) Wallace. He graduated from Northside High School and later attended North Idaho College in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Bill proudly served his country in the United States Navy as a Torpedoman's Mate, earning the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal and the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon for his service.

On March 12, 1999, at the Sebastian County Courthouse in Fort Smith, Arkansas, Bill married the love of his life, Robin Lovell. Together, they shared twenty-six years filled with love, laughter, and adventure. Bill was a dedicated employee of SCADC, where he served as Lead Maintenance Technician. Bill was an exceptional husband, father, grandfather, and son. He had a special place in his heart for his grandchildren and found joy in live music, fishing, and dancing with his wife. One of his favorite pastimes was watching Razorback football on television while sharing fajitas with Robin - a simple pleasure that brought him great happiness.

He is survived by his loving wife, Robin Wallace; his children, Troy Ross Wallace and wife Malina, John Aaron Bucella and wife Katie, and Scott Robert Marchand; and his four cherished grandchildren, Rhett, Hayes, Shepard, and Nora. He is also survived by his mother, Gloria Schauwecker; siblings, Christi Javana and husband AJ, Ted L. Schauwecker, and Jodi Lovell; as well as nieces and nephews, Jesse Javana, Jenny Rose Javana, Katelyn Rose Wallace, Stephen George, and Elliot George.

Bill was preceded in death by his father, Lonnie Wallace, brother Rickey Wallace and his nephew, Caleb Wallace.

Burial with honors, officiated by Dewayne Hicks, will be held at Fort Smith National Cemetery, 522 Garland Street, Fort Smith, Arkansas 72901, on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. Honorary pallbearers are Bobby Lewis, Stanley Tucker, David Hyde, Mark Hardy, Robert McClurg II, Kenny Cypert (deceased), and Pete Cavanaugh.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to World Central Kitchen at donate.wck.org. Cremation is under the thoughtful care of River Glenn Cremation and Funeral Services.

Bill was a kind man who treated everyone with dignity, was fiercely protective of the vulnerable, and brought joy wherever he went. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
