William Herbert Ward III, a resident of Cumby, TX, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones. He was 81. William was born in Sulphur Springs, TX on October 5, 1944 to William H Ward II and Thelma Lee Vernon. William attended Cumby High School and went on to enjoy a career with Powell Esco, from which he retired after many years. Left to cherish his memory are his son, Kevin Ward; daughter, Wende Bowen and husband John; step son, Brad Earls and wife Carla; grandchildren, Hunter Ward, John Bowen, Jr. and wife Grace, Sierra Estep and husband Elijah; great grandchildren, Lily and Blaine Earls; and special long-time love, Donna Odom. Preceding William in death are his parents, and a sister, Bettye Jean Kelley.
