William Webb Obituary

William Raymond Webb, 82, of Sedalia, died Friday, January 2, 2026 at his home.
Born September 6, 1943 in Macon, Georgia, he was the son of the late Carson Webb and Hazel Keenum Webb.
Mr. Webb went to school in Cahokia, Illinois, and was raised by his mother and stepfather, Francis Rieber of St. Louis. His family were members of Holy Family Catholic Church. He joined the U.S. Air Force in 1962, and served his country for twenty-two years, and was a Vietnam veteran. He retired at Whiteman Air Force Base in 1984, and worked civil service for another fifteen years until his retirement. He married Kathie Miles in Lincoln, Nebraska, and they had two sons together, Troy Webb (Sandy) of Greenwood, Indiana, and Scot Webb of Cadillac, Michigan. He married Marie Stein in Minot, North Dakota, and they later divorced.
He is survived by his sons Troy and Scot; his sister, Patricia Rumph of Johns Island, South Carolina; and two nieces, Cindy and Emma Rumph of Charleston, South Carolina; seven grandchildren, Matthew (Allyson), Megan, Quinn, Payton, Brody, Jaxon, and Jersey; and two great-grandchildren; five step-children, Terri, Bill, Brenda, Jodi, and Mike; twenty-six grandchildren and great-grandchildren from his second marriage. He was preceded in death by his mother, Hazel Rieber, his father, Francis Rieber, and his biological father, Carson Webb.
Mr. Webb was a life member of the V.F.W. Post #2591 in Sedalia; a life member of the American Legion Post #642; a life member of the DAV; a life member of the American Vets Post #143; a member of Voiture 333 of the 40 & 8; a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #1494; and a past member of the Masons and Shriners. He loved to fish and hunt. He was an outdoor person who always loved his time on the lake.
A private burial will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of McLaughlin Funeral Chapel in Sedalia.
