William Wayne Webster, born on June 16, 1965, in
South Charleston, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on January 21, 2026, in
Greensboro, North Carolina, at the age of 60.
Throughout his remarkable life, William was known for his vibrant spirit and artistic talents. With over 25 years of experience as a hairdresser and designer, he brought creativity and joy to many through his work. His passion for beauty extended beyond hairstyling, as he also thrived as a florist, crafting stunning arrangements that brightened countless lives. An alumnus of Capital Beauty School, William's career was marked by his ownership of several successful hair salons, including one in Greensboro and two in Indiana.
William's interests were as colorful as his personality. He was an expert in coloring hair, a skill he perfected with his keen eye for detail. Outside of work, he enjoyed bowling, playing tennis, and listening to music. Despite losing his vision due to diabetes, William remained outgoing, friendly, and full of life. He cherished time spent with his beloved dogs and had an unmatched ability to make everyone feel welcome and loved.
He is preceded in death by his father, Lowell Webster, mother, Bonnie Webster, sisters Sandy Wymer and Sherry Bell, and nephews Joshua Hilbert and Brandon Aleshire, as well as his niece Virginia Bell. Left to honor his memory are his brother Kyle Hilbert, sister Tamara Perry, niece Christina Perry, nephews Jacob Hilbert, Ronnie Bell, Noah Hilbert, and Justin Wymer, along with a host of dear friends who were like family to him.
William will be laid to rest in West Virginia at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to support the family during this difficult time. William Wayne Webster will be remembered for his boundless creativity, warmth, and the indelible mark he left on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
