William Eugene Willis, 75 of Payneway, Arkansas departed this life on Friday, June 20, 2025, in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He was born on March 27, 1950, in Lepanto, Arkansas to Garland Eugene Willis and Mary Margaret Orr Willis. He was a devoted member of Corners Chapel Baptist Church where he served faithfully and loved the Lord deeply. Known for his joyful spirit, William brought laughter and good times wherever he went. He was a hard worker, a secret keeper, and a friendly, outgoing man who never met a stranger.
He is preceded in death by his parents and four brothers: Madison Willis, David Willis, Eddie Willis and Jerald Glen Willis.
William is survived by his wife of fifty four years and ten months: Teresa Willis of the home, one son: Ronnie Willis (Mary) of Jonesboro, Arkansas, one daughter: Regina Willis of Payneway, Arkansas, four sisters: Mary Ann Martin (Roy) of Mountain View, Arkansas, Janis Lawerence (Roger Morgan) of Lepanto, Arkansas, Gail Cockrell of Lepanto, Arkansas and Sharon Gotto (Wayne) of Perryville, Missouri, three grandchildren: Benjamin Willis (Cole) of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Hunter Ryals (Aaliayah) of Moro, Illinois and Toby Ryals of Moro, Illinois, three great grandchildren: Ryker Willis, Crymsyn Willis and Oakley Ryals and his faithful dog: Freckles.
A celebration of his life will be held on Monday, June 23, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. and visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at Corners Chapel Baptist Church in Payneway, Arkansas.
Brother Glen Hurst will officiate the service.
Arrangements are under the care of Delancey Funeral Home in Marked Tree.
