William Prichard Wilson, Jr., 68, of Georgetown, GA, formerly of Albany, GA passed away peacefully on September 15, 2025 at his residence. A memorial service will be held Friday, September 19, 2025 at 4:00 pm at Mathews Funeral Home. Wesley Corbitt will officiate. The family will receive friends from 3:00 pm until 4:00 pm before the service at Mathews.
Bill was born in Fairfax, SC on November 4, 1956 to the late William and Maxine Corbitt Wilson, Sr. He moved with his family in his teens to Albany, GA where he graduated from Albany High School in 1975 and attended Albany Junior College.
Bill served in The United States Navy where he wintered over in Antarctica. He was a member of Porterfield Methodist Church and was active in the Kairos Prison Ministry. He owned and operated Four Seasons Lawn Care for over thirty years, loved the outdoors and spending time with the best friends a man could ask for. After retiring in 2023, Bill moved to Georgetown, GA.
Survivors include his wife, Adrienne Drake Wilson of Georgetown, GA, his children, Thorne Wilson of Charleston, SC, Sara Towson (Todd) of Albany, GA and Max Hughes of Marietta, GA, his siblings, Becky Beaudry (Randy) of East Lansing, MI, Cathy Hauldren (Tom) of Kingsport, TN and Amy Morgan (Bill) of Hayesville, NC, his mother-in-law, Gloria Drake of Albany, GA, his two grandchildren, Finn and Charlie Towson, his many niece's and nephew’s and beloved dog, Wink.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Bills memory to Georgia Hospice Care and Kairos Prison Ministries.
