80 year old, William T. Winn, of Chesterton formerly of Wheatfield, passed away September 12, 2025.
On August 28, 1945, William was born in Wheeling, West Virginia, to William A. Eleanor (Husvar) Winn. William was an Electrician’s Mate for 8 years in the Navy. He also worked as a factory worker, supervision, and Chief Engineer Officer. William enjoyed race cars, cars, cars, and boats. He was a boat captain, lived on a boat for 12 years.
William is survived by his son: David (Shelly) Winn, 4 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
William was preceded in death by his parents, and brother: Rich Winn.
Per William’s wishes cremation will take place.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 11:00 until 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 E. Grove St., Wheatfield, IN 46392. A Military Funeral Honors service will be held for William at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at the funeral home. Interment will be at the Wheatfield Cemetery.
