William Maurice Winston, 66, who would answer to any of these affectionate names: Maurice, Mo,
Dad, Pops, and Papa Reese departed this life on February 19, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family.
Born to the late Mary Lee (Overton) and James Earl Winston on September 24,1956, in Toledo, Ohio.
William grew up in Spencer Township, and attended lrwin Elementary and Spencer-Sharples High
Schools. He liked to play video games and read the Bible to his children. He enjoyed the very fast and
exciting pace of playing basketball, as it gave him a chance to play both offense and defense.
He was as automobile mechanic who was serious about putting loose nuts and bolts back to their
original places. He had a passion for classic cars, and owned a few himself. When time permitted, he
would show off his ``classic(s)" and gather with other enthusiasts.
William was preceded in death by both parents, Mary Lee and James Earl Winston, and sister, Melanie
Ensley.
Cherished memories are left to: Lifelong Partner, Regina Berry, Sons; Demetrius (Lanita) Vance, Mauricio
(Tamara) Winston, William Winston, Jamar Winston, Daughter; Jamica Winston, all of Toledo, OH. Ten
(10) Grandchildren, Six (6) Great-Grandchildren, Sister; Mary Eillena Winston, Brothers; Robert
(Charlotte) Brassfield, and Vernon Winston all of Toledo, OH. Special Cousins; Tony, Michael, and
Charles Squire, all of Springfield, Massachusetts, Stepmother; Denise Winston, Special Friends; Lewis Walker and Dave Smith Jr; both
of Toledo, OH. The mothers of his children; Dora Lee Vance, Toledo, OH, Marie Jones, Dallas, TX; and
Phyllis Martin, of Toledo, OH, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

I been thinking about you a lot. I can never say thank you enough for the years you gave me. You are a big part of shaping me to be the man that I am today. I miss you a lot and I will always remember the lessons you instilled in me old man. Rest in heaven from my family to you
