William E. Wolfe, 94, of Knox Dale, passed away Monday, January 12, 2026 while at Jefferson Manor.
Born in Knox Dale on July 13, 1931, he was the son of the late Harold and Catherine Park Wolfe. He was raised from an early age by his grandmother, Emma Wolfe.
He attended Brookville High School and was of Methodist faith.
Mr. Wolfe proudly and honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict as a Corporal.
On December 7, 1964 in Warms Springs, VA., he married the former Karen Moore. They recently celebrated 61 years of marriage.
Prior to his retirement in 1991, he had been employed by the PA. Fish Commission.
He was a member of the Knox TWP. Sportsmans Club.
His pastimes included hunting, fishing, boating and motorcycles.
He was a very proud father of 5 sons and he loved then unconditionally.
In addition to his wife, Karen, he was survived by 5 sons, William Harvey, Darius Burton, Joseph (Sharon), Eric (Brenda) and Curtis (Becky); his 5 grandchildren, Matthew (Jackie), Andrew (Kristi), Cory (Joshua), Zackary and Caitlyn; his 3 great grandchildren, Riley, Jace and Alivia; as well as being blessed with numerous BONUS grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Those who preceded him in death in addition to his parents were his 1st wife, Elsie Kniseley; his sister, Anna Mae McMillen; his brother-in-law, Ned McMillen; and nephew, Bryon McMillen.
His family would like to "THANK" the staff at Penn Highlands for the care that Bill was given during his time there.
As per his wishes there will be no services held at this time.
A memorial service will be planned and held at a later date.
Interment will be next to Elsie at Mt. Peasant Cemetery, Knox Dale, Jefferson County.
His family suggests memorial contributions be made in Bill's memory to Knox Dale Mt. Pleasant Cemetery Association.
