Joe Moseley Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Pensacola Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home - Pensacola on Oct. 20, 2025.
Joe Moseley, 89, of Pensacola, Florida went to be with his Lord and Savior peacefully at his son's home surrounded by his family who loved him dearly.
Joe was born on February 16, 1936 along with his twin sister Joan Kirk to the late James Franklin Moseley and Kate Estelle Gibson Moseley. Joe and Joan had a special bond and he loved her so much. Joe was born and raised in Goshen, Alabama. He graduated from Goshen High School in 1954. After graduation he joined the Army where he proudly served his country for 3 years. He then settled in Pensacola, Florida and worked for Sears Department Store for 30 years. Joe was an avid fisherman and he loved his favorite football team and The Alabama Crimson Tide. Joe loved the Lord and we know he is at peace and we will see him again one day. Joe was a member of East Brent Baptist for many years and the last few weeks he joined Heritage Baptist in Cantonment.
Joe is preceded in death by his parents James Franklin Moseley and Kate Estelle Gibson Moseley, brothers, James and Dorrell Moseley, sister-in-law, Grace Moseley.
Joe is survived by his wife Elaine and her children, Vicki, Keith, and Traci as well as many grandchildren. He leaves behind his one and only son, David (Michelle) and their children, Josh (Kindall), Rachel, Grace and Tanner as well as his adopted daughter, Mary (Stan) Milavec and grandchildren Michael Tristan, Gabrielle, Anjolie and Jenivee, sister Joan Kirk and his nephew who was one of his best friends, Ronni Moseley and niece Joyce Moseley Sanders. He leaves behind many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The family wishes to extend a heartfelt gratitude to their staff at Vitas Hospice and the office of Oliva Shore and staff to their dedicated and compassionate care in his last days. A special thank you to his hospice nurse Whitney who he loved.
