Hi Victor, Athena, and Billy;
My sincere condolences for the passing of your dad. My childhood included tons of time in your Elmwood Park house and had plenty of great memories. Both of your parents were always genuinely good people who always made you feel welcome. I was introduced to mac / cheese in your home as a child / and I even went to the Greek Orthodox Church a time or two. I am not totally clear on this, but I believe I was even blessed to get the coin in the cake / pastry during the visit. Regarding Bill Senior as a child I saw first hand what men learn after marriage as "Happy wife happy life" without knowing it because I spent countless Sundays with your Dad who took us to the Oakbrook mall for your mom / He read the paper in the car while waiting / and then off to coffee with ice cream for Victor and I. All this as I witnessed without complaint as a true gentleman and even having a friend of Vic tag along. I seem
to remember your dad at the kitchen table peeling fruit (maybe an apple) for dessert. Quite a full and distinctive life at 93. My mom is still in Elmwood Park so I am there often and quite often pass your childhood home. Lots of good memories to fill us all and we know your father is in a good place up above. I hope you are all doing well and have a blessed year. Please take care, Kris Strobel.
