William "Bill" H. Zwick, age 94, passed away peacefully Friday, August 8, 2025 at Harmony Gardens Sr. Living in Maplewood, MN.
Bill was born in St. Cloud on February 19, 1931 to parents William and Ethel (Lockhart) Zwick in St. Cloud, MN. He grew up in Sauk Rapids on the family farm. He graduated from Sauk Rapids High School and St. Cloud State University. After high school, he served in the Army. He was a proud Korean War veteran. Bill met Nonna Struffert, and the two were married on November 24, 1956.
Bill enjoyed staying active and loved spending time in the woods, especially chopping wood. He played many sports: baseball, golfing, bowling, and cross country skiing. Bill also loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids, and great-grandkids at all family gatherings.
Bill is preceded in death by his wife, Nonna; infant twin daughters, Judy and Jill; parents, William and Ethel; siblings, Dorothy Nyberg, Donald, Francis "Jack", and infant brother David; and son-in-law, Kevin Charter.
He is survived by his children Lisa Maetche, Wade (Kathy) Zwick, Lori Charter, and Lynn (Greg) Kienholz; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren (with one on the way); many nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at St. Bridget of Sweden Catholic Church in Lindstrom, MN. Visitation one hour prior to mass at church. Burial will take place Monday, September 15, 2025 at 9:30 AM at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN.
Family would like to give a special thanks to St. Croix Hospice and Harmony Gardens Sr. Living for their compassionate care and support during this difficult time.
In lieu of flowers, donations preferred to St. Bridget of Sweden Catholic Church in Lindstrom, MN or St. Croix Hospice.
