WILLIE JAMES ANDERSON SR., 73, MEDINA, OH, PASSED AWAY PEACEFULLY SURROUNDED BY HIS FAMILY ON JULY 5, 2024. WILLIE WAS BORN IN CLEVELAND, OH ON SEPTEMBER 13, 1950 TO LOUISE AND ALBERT ANDERSON. WILLIE ATTENDED EAST TECHNICAL HIGH SCHOOL AND THE UNIVERSITY OF AKRON. HE HAD A LONG CAREER IN MANAGEMENT WITH AT&T, RETIRING IN 2010. WILLIE MARRIED THE LOVE OF HIS LIFE AND CHILDHOOD SWEETHEART DELIA, ON MARCH 21, 1970 REMAINING IN LOVE AND HAPPILY MARRIED FOR 54 YEARS. HIS LOVE RESULTED IN THREE CHILDREN WILLIE II IN JULY 1970, DAMOND IN OCTOBER 1975, AND ADAM IN DECEMBER 1977. WILLIE WAS A LIFELONG CHRISTIAN MAN AND VERY ACTIVE IN THE CHURCH. HE SPENT MOST DAYS READING THE BIBLE AND TEACHING THE GOOD NEWS OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST. HE REMAINED ACTIVE THROUGH FITNESS WORKOUTS AND TEACHING YOUNG ATHLETES THE TECHNICAL ASPECTS OF SHOOTING AS THE SELF-TITLED "SHOT DOCTOR". HE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HIS MOTHER AND FATHER, LOUISE AND ALBERT ANDERSON AND HIS SISTER MARY BAILEY. HE IS SURVIVED BY HIS WIFE DELIA, HIS SONS WILLIE (ROSALIND) OF JACKSONVILLE, FL, DAMOND OF AKRON, OH, AND ADAM (ELIZABETH) OF COPLEY, OH, HIS GRANDCHILDREN WILLIE III, KRYSTAL, COLLIN, ISABELLA, AND NATHAN, HIS SISTER ETTA HILL OF HOUSTON, TX, NIECES CASSANDRA, DENISE, AND APRIL, NEPHEWS BOBBY, TONY, JOSHUA, JONATHAN, JASON, MICHAEL, AND DARYL.
PLEASE NOTE: THOSE ATTENDING THE VISITATION THE SIGN FOR THE CHURCH SAYS “THE WELL” THE CHURCH IS RIGHT NEXT DOOR TO THE BURGER KING. PARKING IS AVAILABLE BEHIND THE CHURCH AND AT THE OVERFLOW LOT AT BURGER KING.
