Willie Davis Barber

Wille Davis Barber, also known as David to many, passed away on November 22, 2025 in Ada, Oklahoma. Born September 15, 1966, Willie was a graduate of Byng High School 1984.

After serving in the United States military and achieving the rank of Private First Class, he retired from the Army to pursue a vocation in ironwork. He dedicated over 30 years to the trade, working as a skilled welder and eventual foreman.

Willie was a reserved man who enjoyed quality time with family above all else. He loved to spend his evenings watching anime with his sons or movies and TV shows with his family. He loved to cook, especially for family, and was an avid enjoyer of firearms despite not being able to own one until later in life. Though a quiet man anyone who knew him knew the easiest way to get him animated was to ask him about his favorite songs, or suggest there was a better musician than Aretha Franklin. Willie was committed to his family and was a father figure to many. His reliability, hardworking attitude, and great integrity characterized his entire life.

Willie was preceded in death by his mother Annie Jean Williams and his wife Patty Irene Barber. He is survived by his sons and their wives, Kenny (Filicia), Devaunte'(Dakota), Dylan (Rachel), and Kashaun; his adopted daughter, Jenn; his 5 grandchildren, Kaisen, Vincent, Sybil, Gideon, and Cyrus; his siblings, Jimmy, Ruth, Cynthia, Annette, and Ruben; and his companion Trish.

Willie's Celebration of Life will be held on Friday November 28th from 11:00am-4:00pm at DeArman-Pickard Funeral Home: 305 West Smith, Stratford, OK 74872.
