Willie B Brown

WILLIE BEE BROWN of Springfield MA, departed this life on Tuesday May 01, 2023. Born on December 9, 1943, to ALLI Brown and Idibel Lockett, Willie spent some of his childhood in Greenwood Mississippi. Where he had to grow up fast to help his mother supports his brother and sister.
Early on in his young life he and family moved to Springfield Ma, where he found work as a master molder [brick layer] with passing of time meet and married Leola [MCCOMB] Brown, the mother of his four children Felica, Geralyn, Druesilla & William Brown.
Willie went on to gain his GED then enrolled in STCC community college and attained his Master's degree in business and set out to open a variety of businesses all over Springfield, B~S Food mart and TULLY'S Convenience STORE, and BS Furniture store to name a few and also founded KAD Kids Against Drugs. During that time he worked hard, he bought the first family house on 212 Eastern Ave. where he raised his four children and was a great provider through the years not just to his family but to anyone in need of food or a place to stay. He really loved to fish and was a master at not, just catching but eating as well.
His joy in life was teaching. Teaching his children to be educated in schooling and held his own class every Friday at 212 Eastern Ave with all four of his children as the students. He was a pastor: he had his own church behind his house on 212 eastern Ave. along with his very first penny candy store and rug plus fabric store. Business was in his blood!
He leaves this life having been predeceased by son William Walter Brown and grandsons Sean Brown and William Brown Jr.; his mother, Idibell; three sisters, and one brother. Willie leaves a legacy of love, loyalty and strength to be carried on by his last surviving sister Marybell [Collions] Bayman; daughters Felica, Grealyn, and Druesilla, along with four children--two other sons Todd and Sean brown, their mother Jean [Still] Brown, as well as Jesse and Alisha; 20 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
