Willie Davis Brown was born on April 10, 1950, in Dekalb, Texas to the late James and Roberta Rose-Brown. Better known as “Peewee”, Willie grew up in the Oak Ridge Community of Dekalb, Texas, and attended Dekalb Public Schools. He was a member of the Dekalb Bears football team where he was a very good player.
Willie married Annie Robinson of Harris, Oklahoma on October 12, 1971. During that time, he had two sons and two daughters.
Later in life, he received Jehovah God in his heart and was studying to become a full-time Jehovah’s Witness until his health failed him. He worked many jobs during his lifetime: Brown & Root, Lone Star Steel, Pilgrim Pride in Texas and Tyson foods in Broken Bow, Oklahoma. At these various jobs, he made many friends. His hobbies were his family, fishing, watching westerns, spending time with his horse (Q-Tip) and last but not least slapping down those “bones” dominos with the fellows.
Willie went to sleep in death on Sunday, November 23, 2025, at 4:42 P.M. He was preceded in death by his par-ents, James and Roberta Brown; James Brown (brother); Annie Mae Richardson and Frances Hall (sisters); and Nicole Brown (daughter).
He leaves to cherish his memories: wife, Annie Brown of Harris, Oklahoma; sons, Vandy Brown of Harris, Okla-homa and Marcus Brown of Fort Worth, Texas; daughter, Rosalyn Brown of Harris, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Shaquille Ducket of Harris, Oklahoma, Iesha Brown of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Katerra and Antonio Foster of Ha-hira, Georgia; great-grandchildren, Aiden and Aubrey Foster of Hahira, Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
We thank Jehovah God for letting us have him in our lives for as long as he did. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.
