Truly a servant of God was born on the sixteenth day of June in the year nineteen
hundred and forty-three in Lugoff, SC to the proud parents, the late Major and Bessie
Bennett. She was the fifth of their eight children, a precious jewel whom they named
Willie C. Bennett

Educated in the Kershaw County School System, the importance of education was
essential to her. Upon graduating from Jackson High School, Willie moved to New
York. There she met and married the love of her life Jamie Nathaniel Dickey and
made their home in White Plains, New York. From this union two sons were born,
Daryl and Noland. After several years in White Plains, they moved back to South
Carolina and made Camden their home.

A lifelong and devoted member of Sutton Branch Baptist Church, Lugoff, South
Carolina. She served on the Missionary Board and was a dedicated choir member until
such time her health declined. Willie enjoyed shopping, cooking, tennis and spending
time with her family.

To say she loved and adored her family is an understatement. A devoted wife and
mother she was to her husband and her boys. Always being certain their needs and
wants were met gave her great joy. That strong loved exuded to all of her family and
friends. Selfless with a determined heart and spirit. Truly she will be missed. The
memories of her fast driving and great cooking will live on throughout the generations
through her children and grandchildren.

Left to cherish and celebrate her life, loving and devoted children; Daryl (Sonya) Dickey
and Noland (Samantha) Dickey. Grandchildren, Jamie, Miles, Jordyn and Ryahn.
Siblings, Gladys (Charles)Wood, Leroy (Susie)Bennett, Roberta DeWitt,
Patricia (James)Redmond and Richard (Shirley) Bennett.
Best friend, Carolyn McDowell. A host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She
was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jamie N. Dickey; brother Clayton
Bennett, sister Lenora Taylor.
Servant of God, Well Done.
