Willie Eugene Epps, 70, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 5, 2024, with his loving wife, Karyl, and daughter, Cindy by his side. Born on September 12, 1953, in White Pine, TN, Willie was known for his kind and welcoming demeanor, and willingness to help anyone in need.
Willie was a jack of all trades who had the remarkable ability to fix almost anything that crossed his path. His skills were matched only by his generous spirit; he was known for his kindness and welcoming nature. Always ready to lend a helping hand, Willie never turned anyone away in their time of need. Those who knew him would agree that he was truly one of a kind, possessing a heart that extended warmth and compassion to all.
He was especially fond of spending time with his loving family and his “Bluff Family,” with whom he shared countless memories filled with joy and camaraderie. An avid outdoorsman and river rat, Willie loved being in the river at every opportunity. He was also a proud Veteran of the United States Army, having served his country with honor.
Willie enjoyed hunting and fishing, relishing the tranquility of nature. He found joy in watching westerns and often played the guitar and sang, creating melodies that brought smiles to those around him. A simple pleasure for Willie was enjoying a cold Milwaukee's Best, a testament to his love for the simple joys in life.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Mary Epps; and brother, Bobby, Eddie, and Jimmy.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 35 years, Anna Karyl Epps; daughters, Cindy (Mike) and Michelle Epps; sons, Buddy (Missy), and Rob (Judy); step-daughter, Jennifer Williams; step-sons, Tony and Dean; sisters, Wanda, Linda and Peggy (Robert); grandchildren, Shena, Chalsea, Cionni, Mya, Tabby, Tina, Robert, Cindy, Brandon, Justin, Joey, Wayne, and Michael; his beloved Bluff Family; and many other loving family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2024, from 2:00PM to 3:00PM, followed by a service in the chapel of Carlson & Riggs Funeral Home at 3pm with military honors. A celebration of life will be held at 5:00PM on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at Stokes Bluff.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to the funeral home towards Mr. Willie's services.
