Mr. Willie James Furlow AKA (Buddy) ,76, went to eternal life on Sunday peacefully at his home August 31, 2025. Willie was born on January 13,1949 in Americus, GA. a son the late Alfred and Mary Brockman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Linda Dowdell and Beatrice Little.

He attended Staley high school in Americus GA., and later moved to North Carolina in the early 60's, and joined the National Guard Army for a short time. After being released he did piece work. Then he joined The Carolina Sign Company where he later retired from in 2012. Willie was very fun to be around and always telling jokes. He also loved cross word scratch off, which he won sometimes, and playing cards. He also would always come to the family gatherings where he was the first one there and the first one to leave, however we as a family enjoyed our brother/ uncle, Buddy.

Surviving to cherish his memory are two sisters, Mary Anne Neal and Patricia (Larry) Lisenby; one stepsister, Sandra (Michael W.) Pendergrass; five brothers, Alfonia (Linda) Furlow, Codell Brockman, Anthony Brockman, Billy (Sherrie) Fuller, and Michael (Aprile) Brockman all of High Point, NC, and a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends; a special brother-in-law, Charles Dowdell.

Funeral service will be held Friday, September 5, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Service Chapel. The family will receive friends at the chapel from 11:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Guil-Rand Memorial Park.
