Obituary published on Legacy.com by Bostick-Tompkins Funeral Home - Columbia on Aug. 9, 2025.
Mr. Willie James Hugee departed this life on Friday, August 8, 2025, at White Oak Manor in Columbia, South Carolina. He was born in Gadsden, South Carolina on July 3, 1951. He was the son of the late Mr. Henry John Hugee and Dora S. Hugee.

He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He later worked in the hospitality industry at the Marriott Hotel.

Willie was a sports fanatic, and this was evident to everyone knew him; a dedicated and committed Dallas Cowboys fan.

He was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Mr. Hugee was preceded in death by his parents, son: Tony Myers, brother: John Henry Hugee, and five sisters: Willie Mae Hugee, Susie Mae Goodwin, Patsy Mae Hugee, Rosa Mae Mosley, and Jannie Bell Nathan.

Those left to cherish his precious memories include his daughter, Tawanna (Alexander) Weston; his son, Curtis Harris both of Columbia, SC; three sisters: Barbara Smith of Augusta, GA, Dorothy (Ronald) Knight, and Lucille Shiver both of Columbia, SC; two brothers: Tommie Lee (Florastine) Hugee of Newark, NJ and Alphonso (Loretta) Hugee of Columbia, SC; sixteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a bonus son: Charles Moon, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear

no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Psalms 23:4
