Willie Mae Hyde was born March 29,1960, to Mr. Austin Lee Hyde and Ms. Mattie Willie Lean Johnson'Hyde in Aberdeen Mississippi. She was the 2nd of 3 children to this union. Affectionately known as Willa Mae or Mae, Granny/Bone Bone.

Willie Mae attended high school where she completed her 12th grade year, she worked at Lakeland as a home health care worker, she was also part owner of her mother's business Highland Manner.

Willie Mae loved watching her grand babies, nieces, and nephews. She loved playing the lottery and wiggling in the middle to her favorite blues songs, she will be well remembered for "keepin' it real," and she did not play about her money. Willie Mae was stubborn as could be, but she would give you the shirt off her back!

Willie Mae leaves to cherish her 4 beautiful children: Monequa (Michael) Briggs of Grand Rapids MI, Jermaine Hyde of Grand Rapids MI, Kamil Hyde of Benton Harbor MI, and Venequa Clark of Benton Harbor MI; 15 Grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, her sister Charlene Hyde'Wynn of Benton Harbor MI, a long-time companion James Lee Clark of Benton Harbor MI, her uncle Willie "June" Johnson of Benton Harbor MI, her auntie Willie Mae Walls of Holland MI, and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and nephews, aunties and uncles.

Willie Mae was preceded in death by her parents her grandmother Mattie G. Johnson; her brother James Hyde; her son-in-law Tommy Rogers, 1 grandson, 1 great grandson and 1 great nephew.
