Willie "Doogie" Jordan, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2025, in Columbus, Georgia, at the age of 76. Born on April 12, 1949, in Chambers County, Alabama, Doogie was the loving son of Robert Lee Jordan and Eliza (Register) Jordan.
Doogie's life was a testament to his enduring love for his family and the great outdoors. After marrying the love of his life, Katherine "Kathie" Jordan. Doogie was a devoted husband, celebrating 56 years of marriage filled with love, commitment, and adventure.
A man of many talents, Doogie was known for his career at G & B Batteries, where he dedicated years to battery analysis before his retirement. His work was not just a job but a passion, and he was well-respected by his colleagues for his expertise and dedication.
Doogie's zest for life was evident in his love for the great outdoors. He was an avid camper and fisherman, often found at Lake Martin, where he shared his love for nature with his family. Those camping trips created cherished memories that his loved ones will forever hold dear. Doogie had a special connection with his dog, Scooter, and was often seen building fires and enjoying the simple pleasures of life under the open sky.
Family was the cornerstone of Doogie's life. He was a family man through and through, always putting his loved ones first.

He is survived by his spouse, Kathie, his children, Sharon Miles (Jimmy), Marsha Dawson (Mark), Daniel Jordan (Amy), and Brandon Jordan (Megan), his cherished grandchildren Justin Dawson, Joshua Dawson, Dalton Turner, Brittany Jordan, and Weston Jordan, as well as several great grandchildren.
