Willie June Keller Noggle, 76 of Hickory, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 6, 2022, at the SECU Jim and Betsy Bryan Hospice Home in Pittsboro, NC.
Willie June was born on May 31, 1946 in Catawba County to the late, James "June" Noah Keller, Jr., and Willie Sue Sherrill Keller.
She was a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, grandmother, and enjoyed spending time with all her family and friends, and will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her. Willie June was a graduate of Lenoir Rhyne College, and also received a Masters of Social Work from Tulane University. She was a member of Grace Chapel United Methodist Church. Willie June worked diligently as a social worker for both Caldwell and Catawba Counties for over 50 years.
Survivors include her partner, Robert Byrd; daughter, Elizabeth Noggle McMurtry; son, Eric Noggle; sisters, Suzanne Fann and spouse, Ray; Judith Bunders and partner, Tom Barnes; grandson, Noah James McMurtry and the father of her children, Jim Noggle. Nieces and nephews include, Aaron Fann, and spouse, Sydney; Meredith Fann Wilson and spouse, Derek; and Andrew Fann and spouse, Sarah.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at 2:00 p.m., at Grace Chapel United Methodist Church with Pastor Phillip Hefner and Rev. Monica Childers officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 till 2:00 p.m., in the church fellowship hall. Burial will follow in the Grace Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
