Funeral Services for Willie Joe Marsh will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, with a one hour visitation from 10 am to 11 am, November 15, 2025 in the Chapel of Griffin Funeral Home, 911 Warren Drive, West Monroe, LA with Bro. Danny Chaney officiating. Bro. Harvey Drake speaking as well. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 PM Friday, November 14, 2025 at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow service at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Calhoun, LA.
Willie was married to Roxanna Breaux Marsh for 28 years and had 2 children. They met in Liberty, TX and lived there for 19 years. They moved to West Monroe in 2016 when he retired from construction work (crane operator) and enjoyed the rest of his years working part-time as a greeter at Walmart until he became ill in 2022.
Willie loved Jesus and shared the gospel with everyone. He attended The Assembly, West Monroe when he could. He loved to work outside, called it "Piddlin". He was a hard worker, his entire life. He was a great provider for his wife and children. He loved his family reunions, only missed one out of 28 years. He loved to watch football "Dallas Cowboys & New Orleans Saints". He loved to play dominos. He loved his country and was not ashamed to stand for what he believed in.
Willie was preceded in death by his parents, Elton and Daisy (Berry) Marsh; brothers, Leon Marsh, Jack Marsh, Lloyd Marsh and Hank Marsh; sister, Yvonne (Marsh) Lively.
• Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Roxanna Breaux Marsh; their 2 children, Jeremiah Marsh and wife, Bridget and Anna Marsh and fiancé Jeb Herron; daughter, Chris Tina Marsh Deshotel; siblings, Barbara Marsh McClarrin, Laverne Marsh Jones and husband Bobby, Bridgett Marsh Carter and husband Rick, Gladys Marsh Chamberlain and husband Denny; 1 grandchild and a host of nieces and nephews and he loved each of them very much.
Pallbearers will be Ernie Bandy, Jason Breaux, Rick Carter, Jeb Herron, Jack Marsh Jr., and Shane Moody.
Honorary pallbearers will be Lynn Breaux and Terrell Cummings.
