Willie Morrell Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Click Funeral Home - Lenoir City on Mar. 3, 2026.
Willie "Will" Morrell, age 90 of Lenoir City was reunited with his wife, Dorothy in Heaven on March 2, 2026. He and Dot were married in 1974. She was the light of his life and he adored her. Will served in the U. S. Army as an artillery inspector during Vietnam. He enjoyed square dancing, wrestling, and any kind of music. As a young man, Will played with various bands including on the Cas Walker Show. He retired from the University of Tennessee where he worked as a machinist. There he built his double neck guitar which was a rare find. Will was a collector of all things and never missed a great find.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Morrell; parents, Clarence and Mary Belle Morrell; sister and brother-in-law, Virginia and Otis Pesterfield.

Survived by his great nephew "son" and his wife, Isaac and Jessica Burress; grandchildren: Brooklyn, Grace, Chloe, and Maggie Burress; nephew, Les Pesterfield (Alicia), and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Gentiva Hospice and Amada Sitter Service.

The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 5th at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Keith Price officiating. Family and friends will gather at 11 a.m. Friday morning at Loudon Co. Memorial Gardens for graveside services. Military honors will be conducted by the Loudon County Veterans Honor Guard.
