Willie Ruth Oglesby was born July 28, 1957, daughter of the late Iotria (Ope) and Mattie Bell Maddox.
Willie Ruth was born and raised in Hartwell, Georgia. She had a loving spirit and would always voice the fact that she loves you.
She leaves to cherish her memory; two loving daughters, Jessica Franklin (TraeVonn), Kajuanna Oglesby, one son, David J. Oglesby (Keisha), 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, two sisters, Ruby N. Draggs, Annette Mattox, four brothers, Horace Mattox, of Hartwell, Georgia, Bennie Mattox, Ouillie E. Mattox (Mattie) and Curtis Mattox of Atlanta, Georgia, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Public viewing will be held on Friday, April 12, 2024 at 12:00PM - 6:00PM Herschel Thornton Mortuary 3346 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive SW Atlanta, GA 30331
Graveside Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. from Greenwood Cemetery, 1173 Cascade Circle, SW, Atlanta, GA 30311 Courtesy of Coile and Hall Funeral Directors of Hartwell, Ga.
