I was fortunate to have met Willie in the early 80's, when he and I were stre managers for Safeway. Willie was always someone you could talk to, and I especially remember some of his stories about his submarine days. I could not wait to tell him about my 2 sons, who are also Naval submarines. What Fond memories!

To the family of my friend Willie Pretiger, my deepest sympathy.
Willie and I have been friends since boot camp, 1969. We only reconnected only in the last few years, through FB, and I was really happy to reconnect with him!
Always buddies, Louie Oakeley
