Willie Lean Williams

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved sister and the mother of Rhea Nicole Williams.

Willie Lean Williams, who passed away on September 12, 2024, in Houston, TX, was fondly known as Willean. She was born in Buckatunna, Mississippi, to the late Willie Lee Fields Thomas.

She was a devoted mother. She loved spending time with her daughter and with her family and friends. She was always there to offer guidance, support, and encouragement, no matter the family's challenges.

 She attended a two-year college, North Harris Community College, in Houston, TX. She married Richard Williams and was blessed with a daughter, Rhea Nicole Williams. She accepted Christ at an early age and attended church, joining the church choir. She has worked as a computer programmer for over twenty years. Wille retired as an employee of Walgreens.

In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her friends, going out on the Lazy T Cowboy Trail Ride Club with her best friend, Brenda Walker, attending family reunions, and going on trips, just some of her likes.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Willie Lee Thomas; father, Henry Thomas; Sister, Judy Ann Thomas/-Simmons; and Brothers, Gregory Thomas and Larry Thomas.

She leaves daughter Rhea Nicole Williams, her sisters, and brothers, Twin Sister Geraldine Rutherford (Lee), Naydine Thomas-Moon, Francestine Thomas-McDaniel (Gilbert), Calvin Thomas (Diana), Jeanette Thomas-Foster, Denise Thomas-Maclin, Pamela Joyce Thomas-Bolden, LaVere Thomas-Walters, Roger Mconnel (Mary), Kenneth Mconnel (Estell), Terry Mconnel (Bernadette), a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great-nephews.

She was a beloved mother who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
