Willie James "Fuzzy" Williams departed his early life and gain his eternal life on Sunday, November 16, 2025, surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was born February 21, 1937, in Hemingway, South Carolina to the late George Williams Sr. & Irene Rollen.

Willie received his early education in Williamsburg County, South Carolina. He married the love of his life, Doris "Jeanne" Threet. He gave his life to the Lord and became a member of Union Temple U.F.W. Baptist Church.

Willie known as "Fuzzy" to his family and friends, was self-employed contractor and was the owner of the Oasis Lounge on Winchester Avenue in New Haven for many years. After the closing of the Oasis, he continued his passion for working as a general contractor. He was part of the major renovation of Pitts Chapel Church as well as other home improvements. No job was too large or too small for him.

In his spare time, he loved working on and driving his 1957 Chevy and riding his motorcycle to various cities and states. He was a man who did not sit around, he was always working on something. Home Depot was his best friend.

With everlasting memories, he leaves is loving wife, Doris Jeanne Threet Williams; three sons, Terrance (Betty) Threet of New Haven, CT , Willie James Sessions MD of North Carolina, Gary Threet (Suzette) of Milford, CT ; two daughters, Linda T. (Henry) Hannans of New Haven, CT , Susan T. (Paul) Rakem of West Haven, CT ; four brothers, Odell (Mary) Williams, JD Williams, Harry L. Williams all of Hemingway, SC, Jimmy Lee Williams of Hamden, CT: one sister, JoAnn (Ralph) Woodbury of Hemingway, SC; brother in-law, Larry Epps of New Haven, CT ; two sister-in-law, Carol Williams and Elizabeth Bromell all of New Haven, CT, Nephew Dennis Bellamy who played an important part in his later life and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Willie was predeceased by one daughter, Barbara Jo Sessions, two brothers, George Williams, Jr. & Charles E. Williams: three sisters Geraldine Moody, Virginia Smith and Nell W. Cooper.

Fuzzy will surely be missed by all who knew and loved him.
