Willie J. Williams, 68, of Elkhart, Indiana, died Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2026, in his home.
He was born on Jan. 19, 1958, in Elkhart to the late George and Missouria (Wilkins) Williams.
He was preceded in death by his parents as well as three sisters, Georgia B. Beal, Dorothy Mae Johnson and Martha Lee Williams.
Willie is survived by his loving wife, Stephanie (Millsaps) Williams; sons Willie J. Williams II, DeAnthony Grays, DaVontea Millsaps and Corieon Owens; daughters Tosha Bailey, Latrecia (Larry) Moore and Donisha Williams; brothers Calvin (Ruth) Furlough, James (Lula) Williams, Melvin Williams, John Williams, and Curtis (Paula Hawkins) Williams; sisters Diane Williams, Annette (Joseph) Johnson, Rose "Jackie" (Eddie) Marshall and Rosie Williams; as well as 23 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Willie proudly served his country as a United States Marine. Before his retirement, he worked as a truck driver for Himco in Elkhart for many years. He went on to work as a custodian at Roosevelt Elementary Cafeteria. He was also a devoted member of Agape Missionary Baptist Church.
Willie was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A funeral service for Willie will be held at noon on Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2026, at Agape Missionary Baptist Church, 248 W Wolf Ave., Elkhart, IN 46516, with visitation for one hour prior. He will be laid to rest at Prairie Street Cemetery.
