Evangelist Willie Mae "Nancy" Wright, 74, of
Palatka, Florida, peacefully entered eternal rest on the morning of Monday, September 22, 2025, at Baptist Medical Center in Jacksonville, Florida. Born on Sunday, July 15, 1951, in Attapulgus, Georgia, she was the youngest of 14 children born to Sam Lee, Jr. and Mother Pearlie B. Lee.
Nancy graduated from the Putnam County School System in 1970 and went on to serve her community as a dedicated Dietary Manager in the healthcare profession in Palatka before retiring.
A faithful member of Mt. Tabor First Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Karl N. Flagg, Nancy served as a Minister and former coordinator of the Evangelism Ministry for many years. She was a passionate student of the Bible and lived a life that reflected her unwavering faith in God. Her testimony was her life of service, and her walk exemplified that of a born-again, Spirit-filled believer and devoted follower of Jesus Christ.
Nancy was a beacon of inspiration to her family, friends, church, and community. She was a devoted scholar of God's word, an advocate for the underserved, and a tireless worker in local missions and outreach ministries. Her passion for helping others, especially those in need, was a true reflection of her heart for service. Among her many accomplishments, her greatest joy was found in her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in eternal rest by six brothers, Stanley King, Elder Willie James Lee, Albert Lee, Luther James Lee, John R. Lee and Sgt. Ernest Lee; four sisters, Mary Frances Harris, Missionary Evonne Sherman, Mother Pauline Lee and Marjorie Holsey; brothers-in-law, Issac Harris and Robert Sherman; sister-in-law, Thomasina Beauford Lee.
She leaves to cherish her memories: loving son and daughter, James Archie (Kalimah and son, Elyas) Bailey, Jr., Daytona Beach; Kimberly T. Wright, Palatka; two bonus daughters, Pearl Fuce and Marcia Allen; bonus granddaughters, Lovely Perry and Liberty DeJesus; brothers, Jessie J. Lee, Palatka; Oliver "Paul" Edward Lee, Gainesville; sister, Bettye Lee (James) Cooper, East Palatka; two beloved goddaughters, Katrina Sweat and Kendall Milton; and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, extended family, church family, and friends.
Visitation of family and friends will be 5-7 p.m., Friday, September 26 at "Flagg's Chapel of Serenity." Homegoing Celebration will be 10 a.m., Saturday, September 27 at Mt. Tabor First Baptist Church, 4909 St. Johns Avenue, Palatka. Reverend Karl N. Flagg, Senior Pastor is the eulogist. Interment will follow in Oak Hill West Cemetery.
Her life was a beautiful reflection of grace, service, and unwavering faith. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
