Wilma Nellie Bosscher Pursifull, age 89 of Kentwood, passed away on Thursday November 14, 2025, at home in Wyoming, Michigan. She was born December 10, 1935, to the late Ira and Marge (Marsman) Bosscher.
Wilma graduated from Caledonia High School and then began working as a bookkeeper for Etna Insurance in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Approximately 6 years later she began working for Spoelman Accounting as a bookkeeper until she moved to Indiana with her husband, Dave, in 1985. She continued to work as a bookkeeper after moving to Indiana and eventually had her own bookkeeping service.
Wilma loved music and played organ and piano for Tallmadge Wesleyan Church for 25 years and then for another 20+ years at Riverview Community Church in Tippecanoe, Indiana until she moved back to Michigan in 2017. Wilma had a deep love for her Lord and her family. She also had a love for flower gardening, sewing, quilting, knitting, cooking and camp outs with family and friends at their home in Indiana. Many summers she would invite some of her grandchildren from Michigan to spend the week at Dave and her hobby farm in Indiana. In her later years, she and Dave loved to spend time in Florida during the winter.
Wilma is lovingly remembered and missed by her children, Robin (Rob) Nash, Steve (Deb) Stevens, and Gary Stevens; children through marriage: Jerry Pursifull, Mike (Jennifer) Pursifull, Teresa (Brian) Bothast, Brian Pursifull and Patti (Jassen) Dugan; her 21 grandchildren: Kristen Nash, Erin (Tony) Florian, Craig (Alecia) Stevens, Philip Stevens, Emily (Joey) Brower, Megan Stevens, Justin (Mary) Stevens, Jessica Stevens, Caralyn Stevens, Jake (Andrea) Pursifull, Cheyenne (Eric) Green, Andrew (Jalinda) Pursifull, Emily (John) Striker, Nick (Chelsea) Pursifull, Brett (Allison) Bothast, Bree Duran, Madison (Maui) Kamia, Macen Pursifull, Shelbi (Hunter) Moseley, Shannon (Chevy) Teeters, Branden (Sierra) Dugan; her 32 great grandchildren: Darcey Florian, Lorelei Stevens, Xylia Stevens, Caledon Stevens, Charlotte Brower, Lucas Brower, Benette Brower, Caius Stevens, Carter Stevens, Caelum Stevens, Paislee Pursifull, Oran Pursifull, Paul Pursifull, Eli Green, Evelyn Green, Charlotte Pursifull, Calvin Pursifull, McKenzie Striker, Scarlett Striker, Fiona Striker, Wesley Pursifull, Avery Pursifull, Heath Bothast, Grant Bothast, Momi Kamia, Myla Kamia, Liam Mosely, Waylon Teeters, Lincoln Teeters, Graham Teeters, Kenley Dugan and Saylor Dugan. She is also lovingly remembered and missed by her sisters, Phyllis Esbaugh and Judy (Leo) Twork.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, David Pursiful, and her sister, Jean (Robert) Keizer.
There will be two Visitations/Memorials for Wilma:
Michigan Family and Friends:
Saturday, December 13, 2025 - Visitation with the family will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Unity Reformed Church - 4450 Poinsettia Ave SE, Kentwood, Michigan 449508, followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00 am. A luncheon will be served immediately after the service.
Indiana Family and Friends:
Sunday, November 30, 2025 -Visitation/luncheon with the family will take place from 12:00 p.m.- 1:00 p.m. with a Memorial service starting at 1:00 p.m. at Riverview Community Church- 3780 St. Rd. 110, Tippecanoe, IN 46570.
