Kay (Scarberry) Hinkle

Yesterday

C.E., Mickey, and Tracy, I am so sorry to hear of Aunt Wilma´s passing. I have a lot of fond memories of her and Uncle Emmett all through my years. I still have all the birthday cards and get well cards Aunt Wilma sent to me when I was little. She knew I loved the Everly Brothers and one of them shared my birthdate so she´d send me little pictures of them in my cards sometimes. I even still have cookbooks she´d send to me from local churches/organizations around her. She would send one to each of us (my mom, me, and my sisters). C.E. and Mickey, I love to tell people about the time ya´ll came to Lockney, Texas. Ya´ll saw me walking to the store and followed me home. Uncle Emmett had said he just knew I was family and that I would lead ya´ll to my house. Not knowing who was in that car, I did lead ya´ll to my house. Scared the dickens outta me. Afterwards, we got a good laugh out of it. When my mom (Barbara) was still living, she and Aunt Wilma talked on the phone at least once a week. My love, thoughts and prayers go out to the whole family. Your Oklahoma cousin, Kay (Scarberry) Hinkle
