Wilma Ruth (Childers) Mohler, affectionately known as “The Energizer Bunny” went home to the loving embrace of her Savior on Monday, November 10, 2025 after reaching her milestone of 90 years. She was born October 3, 1935 in Crossenville, Ohio the daughter of Clyde and Dorothy (Ashbaugh) Childers.
Wilma was a devoted Christian and member of Salem Chapel United Brethren Church. She loved traveling with her family and never passed up an opportunity to enjoy nature. She treasured her family and loved hosting Sunday dinners and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Wilma was always present at every event and activity in which her children and grandchildren participated. She was their encourager and biggest fan.
Wilma is survived by children, Kevin (Cheryl) Mohler and Karen (Jeff) Jones; daughter-in-law, Rita Mohler; 4 grandchildren, Kyle (Natalie) and Ryan (Beth) Mohler, Nick (Natasha) Jones and Emily Jones; expected great-granddaughter; sisters, Flo Johnston and Georgeanne Daubenmire; brother, David (Pam) Childers; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Donald R. Mohler on January 30, 2020; infant daughter, Sharon Lynn Mohler; son, Steven Mohler; and sister, Betty (Bob) Middaugh. A special thank you to the staff at Fairhope Hospice for all their care and compassion.
A time to visit with Wilma’s family will be Friday, November 14th from 10 AM – 12 PM at Salem Chapel United Brethren Church, 3975 Marietta Road SW, Junction City, Ohio where services will follow at 12 PM. Rev. Joseph Leighton officiating. Graveside services will follow at Salem Chapel Cemetery. Contributions in Wilma’s memory may be made to Salem Chapel or Fairhope Hospice.
