Wilma Fay Norrix, age 86, of Fenton, Michigan, formerly of Rockwood, MI, and later Lakeland, FL, passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at Vicinia Gardens in Fenton, Michigan.

Born on February 24, 1940 in Detroit, Michigan, she was the daughter of Walter and Permelia (Ward) Cox. On July 12, 1958 she married Gerald Norrix in Brightmoor Tabernacle, Detroit, MI.

Wilma loved casinos, and was a Double Diamond member on the Royal Caribbean Cruises. She filled her time with bowling, shopping and bingo. When she worked at the box office, her best memory was meeting Bill Engvall, who she said was just the nicest celebrity of them all. One of her proudest moments was meeting Elvis Presley when she was younger, and prior to him going into the military.

Wilma was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Norrix, father, Walter K. Cox, mother, Permelia Cox, brother, Robert Cox, sister, Wanda Adams, and partner of 10 years, Jack Mieras.

She is survived by her children, Curtis (Krystal) Norrix, Kevin (Tammy) Norrix, Kelly Mierzejewski, grandchildren, Amanda (Walter) Dudzinski, Bryan (Emily) Norrix, Justin (Alex) Mierzejewski, Jaclyn (Justin Hill) Mierzejewski, Benjamin Norrix, Kristen (Mark) Burton, great-grandchildren, Matthew, Evan, Ivy, Ari, Maxwell, Silas, Hazel, Brandon.
