Wilma Lorraine Shappell, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 10, 2026.

She passed away in her home at the age of 96. A devout Christian, she was a

member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Collierville. She will be greatly missed

and forever remembered.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Lester, and her cherished

daughter, Linda. She is survived by her daughter, Betty, and her husband,

Harold, of Collierville; two grandsons, James (and his wife, Lindsey), and John

(and his wife, Shannon); and two great-grandchildren, Alex and Isabelle.

Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 16, at Memorial Park

Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the Memorial Park

Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in her

memory to Emmanuel Baptist Church, 945 Quinn Road, Collierville, TN, 38017.

Our family is so very sorry for the loss of Ms. Wilma. From Lindsey and James we know her to be a very godly woman who loved her family and lived a good life. Our sympathies go out to Betty, Harold and the family. Praying for all of you during this time.
