Wilma Troup Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by DeGusipe Funeral Home & Crematory - R. Lee Williams Chapel on Mar. 26, 2026.
Wilma Jean Troup, a loving mother and devoted wife, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2026, at the age of 78. Jean's greatest joy in life was caring for others and raising her two children. She devoted herself fully to motherhood, giving her children unconditional love and guidance. For the past 2 years, Jean shared her unconditional love with her grandson. Jean loved flowers and gardening, spending countless hours tending to her plants and her yard. Jean expressed her creativity through art, particularly watercolor painting. With gentle brushstrokes and soft colors, she captured scenes inspired by nature and everyday beauty. Jean was a fighter. She bravely battled leukemia and survived it 14 years ago. Though she later faced a second round of cancer, she continued to show remarkable strength until the very end. Her perseverance and determination were an inspiration to all who knew her. She is survived by her beloved husband, David; her daughter, Lisa; her son, Ryan (David), her cherished grandson, Aven, her "sweet little angel baby"; sisters Betty, Violet (Tom), Madonna (Ray), and Arlene; brothers Rusty (Connie), Earl (Barbara), Dorman (Virginia), and John; Sister- in- laws Sandra and Darlene; brother- in- law Darrell; and many nieces and nephews A Celebration of Life service will be held on April 11, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at DeGusipe Funeral Home in St. Petersburg, Florida. Wilma Jean Troup's memory lives on in the family she raised, the gardens she nurtured, the art she created, and the strength she showed throughout her life.
