Obituary of Wilson Cheng

Wilson Cheng, 68, of New Hyde Park, New York passed away on August 25, 2025 in North Shore University Hospital. Funeral service will be held at Park Funeral Chapels on September 6, 2025 at 10:00am with Reverend Jin Chung of Covenant of Grace Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Lawn,Farmingdale, NY. Visitation will be held at Park Funeral Chapels on September 6 at 9:00am. Park Funeral Chapels will be handling the funeral arrangements. Wilson Cheng was born in Mineola Hospital to William and Jean Cheng on August 10,1957. He went to high school at New Hyde Park Memorial High School and graduated in 1975. He went on to earn a degree in Master of Divinity (MDiv) from Westminster Theological Seminary. Wilson faithfully served as senior pastor for Covenant of Grace Presbyterian Church for nearly two decades. He enjoyed reading, jogging, and watching sports. He was involved in Pastoral and Laity Ministries (PaLM), and The Presbyterian Church in America (PCA). Wilson is survived by his daughters, Jensine, Kara, and Daniella of New Hyde Park. He is preceded in death by his wife, Miranda. Memorial donations may be made to Covenant of Grace Presbyterian Church. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Covenant of Grace Presbyterian Church, family and friends for their love and support during this challenging time. Although we grieve the loss of Wilson, we take comfort in knowing that his suffering has ended and that he is now rejoicing in the presence of his Savior. We are looking forward to reuniting with him again when Jesus returns.
