Wilton Alexander

Mr. Wilton Alexander, 82, of the Mt. Olivet Community, Hartwell, passed away Monday, December 1, 2025 at his home.

Born on October 17, 1943 in Elberton GA, he was the son of the late Henry Frank Alexander and Alma Grace Holmes Alexander. Mr. Alexander was a retired machine operator for NVF. He was a member of the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church and McDoyle Sunday School Class. He loved to do woodworking, making cabinets and chairs and loved to hunt and fish.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years: Linda Bailey Alexander; one son: Kevin Alexander (Melissa) of Jefferson GA; one daughter: Nancy Shubert (Dan) of Alto GA; four grandchildren: Trey Shubert (Gracyn), Alexa Shubert, Rayna Alexander and Will Alexander and one brother-in-law: Grady Pless of Elberton.

Mr. Alexander was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers: George Alexander, Frank Alexander, Raymond Alexander, Horace Alexander and three sisters: Willene White, Kate Pless and Alma Jo Carruth.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 3, 2025 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell. Other times the family will be at the home.

Funeral services for Mr. Wilton Alexander will be Thursday, December 4, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Jason Webb and Mr. Leslie Boles officiating. Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.

Flowers are optional, and memorials may be made to Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, 2973 Mt. Olivet Road, Hartwell GA 30643.
