Windell Oneal

Windell Oneal, 78, of Ocilla, Georgia, died Sunday, February 22, 2026, at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton, Georgia.

Funeral services will be held 2PM, Friday, February 27, 2026, at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, Georgia, with the Rev. Luke Smith officiating. The interment will follow in the Union Cemetery in Pitts, Georgia, with full Military Honors being rendered by the United States Air Force. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Mr. Oneal was born April 11, 1947, In Fitzgerald, Georgia, to the late Ernest and Inez Lashley Oneal. He was a 1965 graduate of Fitzgerald Highschool and served 22 years in the United States Airforce where he retired from active duty. Mr. Oneal enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved his family, especially his children and grandchildren, and loved attending their ball games and wrestling.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Oneal; his children: Angela Bowden & Jack, Allan Griner & Jill, Valerie Parrish & Curt, and Edgar Weaver & Michella; 17 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; sisters: Peggy Giddens and Ruth Swieczkowski & Gary; several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his parents, his is preceded in death by his siblings: Carolyn Oneal, Bonnie Turner, Bert Oneal and W.E. Oneal.
