Winfred S Bonta was born October 19, 1932 in Green County, KY to the late Rev. William Clarence and Stella Pauline Wright Bonta. He departed this life Saturday, March 15, 2025 at Green River Trails Nursing Home, having attained the age of 92 years.

Mr. Bonta had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Ladies Chapel Methodist Church. He was a farmer and a United States Army Veteran, serving during the Korean War.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death April 24, 2019 by his wife Dorothy Pickett Bonta and their infant son, William Kenneth Bonta on October 20, 1963.  He is also preceded in death by two sisters and one brother:  Marilyn and Joyce Simpson and Bill Bonta.

 He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law: Debra and Tony Fuqua of Bowling Green, one brother and sister-in-law: Rev. Wilburn and Connie Bonta, one sister: Suvada Arnett, one brother-in-law and his wife: Homer and Brenda Simpson, two sisters-in-law: Alicia Bonta and Joni Jeffries, all of Greensburg, two grandchildren: Jordan and his wife Kaylee Fuqua and Abigail Fuqua, one great grandchild: Elliana Fuqua, plus a host of other relatives and friends.

The Funeral Service for  Winfred Bonta will be 11 A.M. Central Time Saturday, May 3, 2025 at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home in Greensburg with Bro. Garnett Wayne Davis and James Bonta officiating.   Burial will follow in the Ladies Chapel Cemetery with Full Military Honors provided by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard.  Visitation will be 5 P.M CT until 8 P.M CT. Friday, May 2, 2025 and after 7 A.M. CT Saturday until the funeral time at 11 A.M CT at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home..

The family has requested that expressions of sympathy be donations to St Jude's Children's Hospital.  These can be made at the funeral home.
