Edwards Small Mortuary announces with our deepest sympathy the passing of Winfred "Weegee" Morris. Our sincere condolences to the family and friends.

Fort Valley, GA - Winford Morris passed away at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta GA. Winford was the son of the late Virginia P. Morris and Joe Louis Fairfax. He attended school in Fort Valley, GA. He was known as the local handyman, performing various tasks in the community for those who required his services. Weegee never met a stranger, he enjoyed life to the fullest. You could always find him entertaining and socializing with friends. His final contribution was to donate his organs, thereby saving the lives of at least three individuals through organ donation.

His memory will always be cherished by his sister, Dayna Morris of Fort Valley, GA; two aunts, Juanita Bryant of Fort Valley and Rayceen King of Macon, GA; one niece, Chelsea Morris of Warner Robins, GA; and two nephews, DeMarcus McCrary of Atlanta, GA, and Ronald Johnson of Warner Robins, GA. Additionally, he will be fondly remembered by his dedicated first cousin, Benjamin Zellner, Jr., his devoted friend, Ms. Alaetrice Bennett, and a host of relatives and friends. The family expresses their heartfelt appreciation to the staff and doctors at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, GA, for their diligent efforts and commitment during Weegee's time in the intensive care unit.
