Wolfgang Hans Holke

Wolfgang Hans Holke, 87, passed away peacefully at home in Chicago, Illinois on July 14, 2022. Born in Berlin, Germany in 1935 to Walter and Erna Holke, Wolfgang lived in several countries before settling in Chicago in 1985.
Wolfgang spent his early years traveling the world working as a professional musician and pianist performing in nearly every continent around the globe. Later he became the in-house musician for the iconic Chicago Brauhaus, where he entertained patrons with his talents as a pianist for over 30 years.
He was a kind and loving partner to his spouse Louise for 37 years, as well as a devoted father and grandfather. He recently became a great-grandfather.
Wolfgang is survived by his wife, Louise Ann Kopech Holke of Chicago, Illinois, his sister Käte, his children, Matthias, Markus, Steven (Melissa), his step-children, Theresa, Karen (Matt), and Anthony, his grandchildren, Echo, Bella, Matilda, Oskar, Michael, Logan, Melody (Josh), Lyric (Ali), Faith, Grace, Hope, and his great-grandchildren, Kenneth and Sammy.
Wolfgang is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Erna, and brother, Dieter.
In accordance with Wolfgang's wishes, his remains were cremated and ashes will be scattered at a later time. No service is scheduled.
